We have been blessed to see the Lord's provision of $20,580 to Compass Aviation for the replacement of our two necessary training aircraft, the Cessna 172 Skyhawk and the Cessna 206 Stationair!
Cessna 172 Skyhawk
Where will we get it?
While we wait for a more permanent solution, an individual has graciously provided Compass the use of his Skyhawk! We have been able to complete the needed repairs in preparation for flight training. There are still other Skyhawk options available to pursue but for now we will focus on the 206 (see below). We look forward to seeing what plane the Lord will provide as a more permanent solution -- either through purchase or donation. Meanwhile, the airplane is flying great and we are truly blessed to be able to use this plane for as long as the owner desires!
Cessna 206 Stationair
PRAISE! The Lord has provided enough funds and Compass has approved the purchase of a damaged 206. Lord willing, the aircraft will be trucked to Shelby by the end of August and we will begin the process of returning it to an airworthy and flying condition. We will be repairing this plane for many months before we can begin using it for advanced flight-training for missionary pilots. However, God is already working out a solution while we work on the needed repairs and modifications to the damaged plane. We have been offered the use of another 206 via an hourly lease-back arrangement that will allow us to provide the advanced flight training even while the damaged plane is in the process of restoration.
Pray for us!
Praise the Lord with us for His provision, but continue to pray for a permanent Skyhawk replacement, and that funds would be available for a quick and complete restoration of the permanent 206 replacement.
Time and again we have seen God's hand throughout this process of replacing two planes. His timing is perfect, and his provision is perfect. We ask that you continue to lift us up for safety, efficiency, and provision as we push forward with these projects. These planes are essential for Compass to provide specialized training for future missionary pilots, to help reach the most remote people of the earth with God's love.
